Privacy Policy

Photo Learner for iOS · Effective 9 September 2026

Photo Learner is a photography practice app made by Daria Leonova (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your photos and notes stay on your device and in your own iCloud account. We do not collect, see, sell, or share them.

What the app stores

To work, the app keeps the following information:

All of this is stored locally on your device.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app uses Apple’s CloudKit to sync the data above between your own devices. It is stored in your private iCloud database, which is tied to your Apple Account and is not accessible to us. Apple’s handling of this data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud sync off for Photo Learner in the iOS Settings app under your Apple Account → iCloud.

What we do not collect

Camera and photo library

The app asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to add a photo to a challenge. Access is used solely to bring that photo into the app. You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Notifications

Practice reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not involve any external service, and you can turn them off in the app’s settings or in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions and payments

Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. We only learn, through Apple’s StoreKit framework, whether the app currently has an active subscription, so that Premium features can be unlocked. Manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions.

Deleting your data

Children

Photo Learner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The app collects no personal information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s App Store release notes.
