The Today tab gives you a photography challenge matched to your skill level and chosen categories. Read the brief and go take the photo. Then tap Add Photo, choose the shot from your photo library, and tap Continue. It’s saved to your Journal, and your streak and achievements update in the Progress tab.

Yes. Photos are added from your photo library, so any camera works. Transfer the shot to your iPhone, for example with your camera’s app, AirDrop, or a card reader, then tap Add Photo and choose it.

Yes. Tap the arrows button next to Add Photo to swap it for another one. The free plan includes 3 swaps a day; with Premium they’re unlimited.

In the app, go to Settings → Practice Settings. Skill Level switches between Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, and Categories sets which topics your challenges come from. If the app says you’ve completed every challenge, changing these opens up new ones.

Your streak counts the days in a row on which you completed at least one challenge. If your last challenge was yesterday, complete one today to keep it going. Your practice days decide when reminders arrive, not how streaks are counted. Streaks are calculated from your journal, so deleting entries can shorten one.

In the app, go to Settings → Notifications and check that Reminders is on and your practice days and time are set. You’ll get one reminder on each practice day. If they still don’t arrive, check that:

• notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → Photo Learner
• a Focus, such as Sleep or Do Not Disturb, isn’t silencing them

If notifications are turned off in iOS Settings, Photo Learner switches Reminders off too. Turn them back on in the app once notifications are allowed again.

You can complete 3 challenges and swap 3 challenges each day. The count resets at midnight, your local time. Premium removes both limits, and adds advanced progress insights and the full set of achievements.

A few achievements are part of Premium. You can see them on the free plan, but you can only earn them with Premium. If you subscribe later, any you’ve already qualified for unlock straight away, dated to the photo that earned them.

In the app, go to Settings and tap Premium. You can also open iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → Photo Learner. Then tap Cancel Subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve paid for. To avoid being charged again, cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.

Premium belongs to the Apple Account you subscribed with. Check that this iPhone uses that account for purchases in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Media & Purchases. Then, in the app, go to Settings → Unlock Premium and tap Restore Purchases. If Premium still doesn’t appear, email us.

Apple handles all payments for Photo Learner, so refunds go through Apple too. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue refunds ourselves.

Yes, if you use iCloud. Your journal, streaks, and achievements sync through your private iCloud account. Sign in with the same Apple Account on your new iPhone, install Photo Learner, and keep it open for a few minutes while everything downloads. Premium comes with you too. Reminders are set on each iPhone separately, so you may need to turn them on again.

If your journal doesn’t appear, check that:

• both iPhones are signed in to the same Apple Account
• iCloud is on for Photo Learner: in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud, find Photo Learner in the list of apps
• your iCloud storage isn’t full
• your iPhone is connected to the internet

To keep your journal light on your iPhone and in iCloud, Photo Learner saves a smaller copy of each photo. Your original isn’t changed. It stays full size in your Photos library.

Open the entry in your Journal. Tap Replace photo to pick a different photo, or tap the trash button to delete the entry. Deleting can’t be undone.

In the app, go to Settings → Data → Reset statistics and confirm. This deletes every completed challenge and its photo from your iPhone and from iCloud, and can’t be undone.

Deleting the app only removes its data from that iPhone. To remove everything Photo Learner has stored in iCloud, go to iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Photo Learner.

No. Your photos and journal stay on your iPhone and in your private iCloud account, which we can’t access. Photo Learner has no analytics, ads, or tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details.
